Last Film You Watched

"28 years later" , I would gladly not watch this again for 28 years, awful, awful film, the severed head in the bucket looked less realistic than the turnips we used to carve in infant school, the temu village of the damned addons had to be a joke, defo one of the worst movies this year
There's another one next year.

Good ending tho?

Documentary about a Tim Burton Superman starring Nicolas Cage, I had no idea it was in production in the first place . His Clark Kent looks like a drug pusher in a Miami Vice episode.

Terrific doc. Elements of the story emerged in wild wild west, if I recall.

As a big superman fan... Am not looking forward to the new one... We shall see!

I originally asked about this on page 2881.
Has anyone on here seen Compliance?
Based on actual facts, quite disturbing.
Maybe its more appealing to us women & so you might not want to watch with your girlfriends or wives (no nudity).

Yeah wasn’t great which was a shame. Never quite got the love in for it. Wasn’t a patch on the original one. I thought trailer looked great as well. Never mind.

studio tampering or out of ideas?

original has the benefit of a quite believable nasty piece of work dci bilborough.
It’s difficult to go into it without somewhat spoiling other than it’s pacing felt like it was the first of a new trilogy (I don’t believe the third film has been greenlit yet but the second one is released in Jan 26). There’s a prevailing obvious theme which is quite basic, but even at a more superficial level, the infected were actually quite a disappointment.

I guess, given the return of the Director and screen writer returning to a franchise they started (similar to when Scott did Prometheus) and the trailer, I had raised expectations, but ultimately, I just felt underwhelmed by it.

There is a film in 'prometheus', but we're going to have to wait for the directors cut like we did with BR.
Studio recut alien3 as well.
So far as the 28's go, the first one developed character, we were all gutted when Gleeson turned, the supermarket, the rats, the squaddies, the pile of corpses. It was violent and nasty but there were moments of levity and humour. Hated the second one. What a waste of time. 28 years later seems a bit of a wasted effort, where's the relevance? half the audience has no connection anyhow. If it had been ready straight after covid and took the pish there, then it'd have gone down a storm.

over engineered, committee thought, pandering.

I want trailblazers.
