Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

He seems a bit of a one trick pony. Drop the shoulder, go on the outside and whip a cross in. Doesn't seem very quick, so you really wonder if he could make the step up.

Details:
  • Pace:
Fellows is noted for his overall pace, with specific attributes like acceleration and sprint speed highlighted.

  • Agility:
He's agile, which combined with his speed, makes him difficult to defend against.

  • Physicality:
He's described as having a relatively tall build for a winger, which, when combined with his speed and agility, gives him an advantage in physical duels according to Total Football Analysis Magazine.

  • Technical Ability:
Fellows also possesses strong technical skills, including good crossing and passing abilities.

  • Impact:
His speed and direct running style make him a dangerous attacking player for West Brom.

One-trick ponies aren’t inherently bad. It just depends on how good the trick is, and how injury prone the pony is.

A really good trick (probably out of our price range at the minute, though) is worth its weight in gold, but the trick mustn’t belong to someone with a bad injury record - else you’ll come to depend on it then lose it. Then be stuck.
That's one tricky post but I think just about followed it :coffee:

So loan a 30 year old each season and assume theres no loan fee and the parent club cover 100% of the wages? I am sure the calibre of player we could get would be of a good standard......
No
Because you’d hope we won’t have to loan as many next season and the season after that, how many teams in the European places have 5 loans ?
Also you’d expect Harrison Armstrong to be around the first team next season and maybe Tim as well. And if we also sign another young midfielder this year, you’d hope he would be better the year after. And then you have a 31/2yr old down to 5th choice Sitting on our bench getting 60/70k a week for another 2yrs and not kicking a ball
