Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Don't rate Albert Gudmundsson at all. His goal record is nothing to shout about and any contract here would take him into his 30s. Nothing at all to suggest he would pull up trees.

It might be a runner though as the links seem to persist.

Spending on someone like Barry is a gamble I'm not sure Moyes would be willing to take, unless we could negotiate the fee down.

In general I'd prefer potential over an experienced, but ultimately average striker but there are no easy answers.
Not think he would come in as a 3 rd choice if chermitti going out and beto going acon so would need two.

Seems like a decent enough player to me, possibly more of a ten for us than a striker, only turned 28 last week so not ridiculously old.

Key point is possibly the price, if the option price for fiorentina is 14m could probably get him for just a touch over. Half decent bang for buck on a player who could cover two positions.

I'm just happy Jack Harrison is no longer here.
Fair enough.
I think Jack deserves credit for helping to keep this club in the PL after the ownership and managerial shambles we've had to endure.
I wish him well for the rest of his career and wholeheartedly thank him for his service.
Same goes for all those lads / heroes that cost relatively low fees but did their bit and helped save our skins - such as Coady, Gray, Young etc.
I'd reserve my distaste for those who cost a bomb and failed to deliver or even give the apperance that they cared for us at all.

He was atrocious. Couldn’t cross, couldn’t go past a man, couldn’t retain possession. Absolutely abysmal.

Not optimistic at all for next season, beyond a mid table position that is. We are getting rid of waste of space expensive players which is good, the club management structure is being revamped which is good, but the probable intake of new players is likely to be uninspiring considering we are fishing at the cheap end of the player market. Live in hope of course.

100%. Can we stop with this "thanks for running about a bit" mentality please, absolutely stinks. Its the absloute bare minimum expected. He was an absolutely atrocious footballer who has no business in the top flight.

Yes I wish him well of course, but I'm not especially appreciative of having someone as bad as him play so much for us (and yes, not his fault he got picked).
