Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Seems like we'll start seeing genuine links from July. Not ideal, but not too late as long as we actually do start bringing players in relatively quickly.

Seeing as we need 2-3 regular starting XI players, alongside at least 6-7 squad players, we really need to give them ample time to settle and get to know their new surroundings and team mates - lord knows we've suffered badly on that front in recent decades.

Seems the new owners are doing the right things behind the scenes, I'm just a little worried that all of these new appointments will only now start working together to identify players, and we are hardly going to go from identifying players to actually signing them within a couple of weeks.

Seems there will be plenty of voices going into deciding who comes in, and that's got the potential to delay actually approaching clubs and putting in bids, which in turn could lead us to losing out to clubs prepared to actually go in with money.

Hopefully everything works out, we badly need to get it right.
New favourite word?

The foundations have to be laid before the building starts - TFG have been diligently doing this with their appointments of Kinnear and others. Patience is a virtue that 99% of GOT doesn't have. It;s a huge leap forward compared to our previous Board and ownership. Replacing the likes of DBB with Kinnear is akin to trading your 1979 Skoda in for a Bugatti.
All these click-bait links and lazy journalism are just to fill the void because Everton are clearly doing things differently now, and most importantly they're doing it professionally. No leaks, no stupid claims and no courting the media. Let's allow them to get on with their job of rebuilding a broken institution - it's not an overnight job. Bringing in Moyes was not my idea of progress, however, TFG have been proven 100% right in that appointment. It was a good start to the rebuild as is the appointment of a professional team running the Club.

This is a different Everton.

Watch this space.

What keeps me young is never worrying about something that may never happen (Mrs TT takes the opposite view and I'm always telling her she'll worry herself into an early grave) so I'm staying positive and looking forward to a very exciting July, transfer-wise. I'm tired of the DCL stuff. Get him gone ASAP for gawds sake. Let him attempt to fulfill his overblown expectations elsewhere.

In the words of Grimella De Vil, my character in The Sixties Club upcoming pantomime - Cinders and her Fella - where Mrs TT, totally out of character but brilliant, plays Cruella:

"I'm SOOOOOO excited!"

I'm gonna be bold and predict by Thursday next week we'll start getting credible intel from a reliable source that our first signing is coming in July 1st or shortly there after.

I doubt it'll be Barry, Woltemade or McAtee (if we are even in for the last two) as the U21 Euros only ends next weekend, so that'd probably rule them out.

My prediction is walker-peters, and then a big pi#&y knickers sesh on social media 👌
You forgot Fabianski - I’d have thought he was nailed down for 2nd/3rd keeper.

But yeah, I think it’ll happen more like that tbh.
