Just searched Chitty and post dating doesn't appear anywhere. And when a transfer is deemed to occur is determined by the PSR regs. Not contract law. Your idea seems to be that we announce that we have signed players before 1 July on the basis of a contracts which say the signing isn't effective until 1 July. We may as well paint a target on our back from a PSR perspective. The gap between your level of competence and level of confidence on virtually every topic is vast.

I get some people won’t have him, you are clearly one of these people.

He came into turmoil and got the side scoring goals and winning games. He got rid of the teachers pets and gave capable players opportunities.

He also helped bridge the disconnect between the club and fans too.

He’s been brilliant

A lawyer would be able to correctly interpret this.

A good lawyer would be able to write a contract with it coming into effect on a future date if certain conditions are met.

Those very same conditions perhaps which enable clubs to agree contracts with one another with the players joining on a future date, if certain criteria are met.

As an example you can look at the Yerry Mina / Barcelona deal.
