We would have a had a great chance if Lukaku had have turned up against United. Palace in the final we'd have beaten.

Also, Baines OG in the SF 2nd leg at the Etihad handed City a lifeline they shouldn't have had. Ok, it was Liverpool in the final but it was a much more adventurous Everton team than under Moyes and wed'd have had a 40% chance of winning the LC that season IMO.

It’s all ifs and buts though, any other team could point to things that could have helped them win.

We have to be encouraged and promote our youth. They won't walk into the team day one but we have to give them the opportunity to prove they will one day so so.

They have the opportunity every day in training to earn a spot, if they don’t it’s on them.
