2024/25 Jarrad Branthwaite

that’s correct

and if say Real did come in we could extend the contract but agree we will sell him for a mega deal and wish him well after a good stint

swerve selling him to chelsea or sours, we need to move beyond that
Real Madrid aren’t gonna pay what we want on what he’s done so far.
They can get a Proven CL defender for probably cheaper.
If Spurs or. Chelsea offer the fee he will be gone.

Nah - Branthwaite is someone to build a team around as a defensive pillar. Tarkowski can partner until eventually he fades then O'Brien can move into the centre. We'd be very foolish to sell unless the offer is for crazy money.

For me. He does not need a new contract unless we are going to sell him soon ish (To get more money). As he has 2 years plus a year's option left. I never get the fascination of giving new contracts to players who have many years left, myself.
Well Ithink one of the reasons is you can use a new contract to put in the fine details of a by-out clause etc...but having never written or read a professional footballer's contract, Im just guessing:)

Levy is a lot of things, but I doubt he overpays to an extent that is worth selling Brainthwaite to them.

As others have said he'd be daft to go there, CL footy for them will be one season and out in all likelihood
Levy has been tight about spending in the past, but maybe this summer he might go and back a new manager and throw the money at whoever the new guy wants in the hope that they get the right players in to bridge what looked a huge gap this season. Up until this season Liverpool have been very strict about their pay structure, but that changed when they forked out a couple of 300k a week deals for VVD and Salad, with something similar expected if they sign Wirtz.

Branners would be mad to take a move to Spuds as you say. It might be the likes of Chelsea or City I`d be more worried about him getting a move to.

Yeah Chelsea come in and I'm concerned, they feel like they are setting themselves up to be a top 4 team again (helped by Masters et al), City likewise.

Spurs with a proper manager is a gamble for a really important move for Brainthwaite, it could pay off but like yourself he'd be daft to take it.

A spanner in the works is that work from home bellend tuchel
