Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

And sorry just to churn this point further (sorry)

It’s utterly ridiculous to have to move your best players out of position to make up for awful squad building. Imagine having Ndiaye score 10 and then having to switch sides because ‘he can’. Same with Alcaraz, he’s shown his best production thought he middle so why would you even want to limit that by shoving them to a position that fundamentally limits them?? We have to put our best players in their best positions, nothing less.

sorry but it’s been my biggest gripe for years now that the right attacking spots have been so disgustingly neglected by management/the board

(Not having a go at you sorry, you make good points. you’re just the unfortunate poster who rattled my gripe with the club’s recent and not so recent recruitment)

I’m sounding like a proper crank now, off to bed x
I agree but you’re STILL missing my point. The fact is, we have players that CAN play on the right and do a job, a few of them too. When DCL leaves we DON’T have anyone else who can lead the line other than Beto. I’m not saying we don’t need a right winger, of course we bloody do. But another striker has to be the first priority. Get that one over the line and then get the other positions sorted.

Doesn’t mean that’s the way it’s going to play out. If an opportunity arises where a right winger becomes available first then of course you don’t ignore it. It’s a moot point because both positions will be strengthened this summer I’m just saying, having one senior striker in your squad is unworkable, having no right wingers in your squad but have a few options that can do a job there, isn’t unworkable despite obviously not being ideal.

EXCLUSIVE

Then the first paragraph says this:

"Inside Sport understands that no talks have taken place between the two clubs, but that the Merseyside outfit is aware of Grealish’s availability."

It's being reported over here on local TV and radio that a few CL teams are interested in meeting his release clause fee.

Theres a big difference between being interested in a player and actually buying him.

See how many links we have of being intrested in player a or scouting player b or weighing up options about player c.

With reports like that i usually think its either the club or the agent either trying to rush a deal thats already on the table or drum up more intrest in a player
