Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

dithering dave. christ lad

we was going down under dyche you MOANED

we’ve got moyes he’s done better than we’d thought again

GIVE HIM A CHANCE

dunno what you want or expect we’ve
been ran terribly for years
Moyes has done very well... I think we need to see some action in the transfer market though.

Didn`t Everton to go back to pre season training on 4th July last season? We`ve got 2 friendlies here 2 weeks after that before going out to the US, doesn`t give much time to get any signings in amongst it during pre season....

So we have a full month until pre season starts? So anyone signed before then won’t be getting “in amongst it” until then anyway.

The season ended less than 2 weeks ago.

Chill out.

I`m chilled...

My point in this respect is that the club are still dragging their heels on the contracts they`ve had weeks and months to sort, give the players deadlines or just release them FFS.... How can you portion your budget if you don`t know if 2 or 3 are or are not staying... it affects it.

Their deadline is the end of June. When their contracts end.

And you say dragging their heels, but I bet the club have a good idea what’s going on and if they are likely to sign, whether they announce it to us yet or not.

Realistically, a 4th choice CB and a 3rd choice striker isn’t going to wreck our transfer budget

Most contracts run through June 30th right? Just bc you haven’t heard anything doesn’t mean decisions haven’t been made.

Is it going to be £170k-190k on wages every week, as they earn now? I hoped the club might do it differently from now on.

I’m not part of the negotiations so how would I know?

But I would take a very confident guess and say no, they won’t be getting offered anywhere near the same amount of money.

What would be the purpose of not announcing them now but they have done others?

It suggests decisions have not been fully made....
I think its more likely a low offer has been made and the Agents are frantically seeing if they can get better elsewhere before the contracts end. I also suspect that a few we have bid on are doing the same. Very few will jump at coming to us (given our struggles in the last four or five seasons), most will be OK with us, but will want to use the window to see if anyone comes in with more money / less prospect of being in a relegation fight. I dont think we will be next season, but on past record, it is something players and agents will weigh up.

This 1st window isn't for paupers. Us mere mortals will sit in the cheap seats and wait until our time comes to feed from scraps thrown from the big table!! 🤔😉
100% mate. Such obvious bias towards the teams that sit within the ‘brand’, I would love it is the rest broke away and formed their own league. Leave the sly six playing each other six times a season and leave the rest of us with a level playing field.
