Today’s Football - 2024/25 Season

The board admit they agreed to prioritize Europe, which he won, but then still digs him out over the league performance and sack him.
I mean you can prioritise Europe without spending quite a bit of money to fight relegation. They spent, what, 100m?, just to be lucky there were 3 entire worse teams - we're all saying they fluked the tournament here too like, not like they pulled off an upset vs anyone.

Crap way to put it no doubt but no unreasonable - if every neutral can see it like that, Levy can too.

glad Carlo took the Brazil job (even though I think he's gonna need every ounce of his ability and a lot more luck). The myth of Johnny 'second season' lives on. Every week postecoglu practically dared the club to pull the emergency brake on him, can see yet another turn over of highly priced players being shuffled about. Wonder where Richarlison ends up...

On Solanke and then two 18 and 19 year olds.

100 million is nothing really when it buys you a half decent striker and some youth.

I highly doubt he got any of his first choice targets especially with how tight fisted Levy is.

Controversial, but I think Tottenham have made the correct call in sacking Postecoglou. I base this on the view that Man Utd made a mistake in keeping Ten Hag in post after winning a trophy, despite a fairly poor and somewhat stagnant league season.

For me, I didn't think Postecoglou could improve Spurs any further, despite winning the Europa League. Probable targets to replace him will include Thomas Frank and Andoni Iraola. Given that Brentford and Bournemouth both look set to lose key players this summer, one of those managers may be open to jumping ship. I would rather see Iraola go to Spurs as I wouldn't mind seeing Thomas Frank become our manager in the future.
