Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Rom had Danny 2 at City earlier.

Glad we’re competing for these lids.

Hopfulky the connection might swing it, Danny was at Goodison for the Southampton game.

I wonder if we will ever be able to compete with the premier league ‘big 6’ or whatever they’re called.

I don’t think we’ve ever been this far adrift and it will take something miraculous to close the gap.

We need an utterly Arce striker

The most Everton one I can find is Costa Rican midget Manfred Alonso Ugalde Arce.

Or, Manfred Ugalde to his friends.

Best young player in the 2019 CONCACAF League tournament, a Costa Rican International, plays for Spartak Moscow, only 23 and most importantly was Top Scorer in the Russian League last season with 17 goals in 29 games.

Would single-handedly bring back the attacking excitement of the Martinez years.

Probably available for £15M or less if we could find a way around military, political and sporting sanctions. We could perhaps secretly exchange him for Chermiti in a Ukrainian forest clearing during a ceasefire or something?

17 in 41 in Russia, thats one in every 2.4 games

The Prince netted 12 in 28 for Lokomotiv Moskow before we bought him, that's one every 2.3

I don't think we are that far from Spurs to be honest

Liverpool, Arsenal & United are basically a different business to us, they are super clubs who have pretty much been succesful or had some sort of success for pretty much the whole of post war football

City & Chelsea our best chance to catch up with them is for them to get kicked out the league at some point due to rule breaking

Big fan of Genk Nigerian Striker Tolu Arokodare

Breakout season of 17 goals in 30 games with a couple of assists to boot.

Linked with Benfica, Bayern, Dortmund and plenty of clubs sniffing around. Genk sold Tall Paul to Southampton for €18m and their chairman is quoted "An amount like with Onuachu? Let me say that I don't want to say much about that, but we want much more,”

I think he is a £20-25m striker who is hitting his glass ceiling so let's be the club that's breaks him through

Don't know anything about him but the fee would be in the ballpark for us and might be in the category of a risk worth taking.

You can have all the data analytics (and that plays a role) but at the end of the day someone on the transfer committee has to present a name and put a case forward.

You'd like to think the process is rigourous and I prefer this flatter structure in theory. You just don't know with a striker until they get games though. And you need lots of luck.

We won't be buying a top level striker. Woltemade will cost £40m. We are unlikely to splash big money on a younger player that hasn't played in the PL like Barry.

Why don't you give it a rest. Or better still put me on ignore. Sick of your bellend behaviour.
We’ve just tried to pay 30 mil for a striker and you’re now crying about having to buy in the bargain basement
Hysterical

This is the new everton mate, have to at least hope that we're now having a go at bringing in this calibre of player. Absolutely no one knows atm what our outlay/strategy is going to be so may as well hope for the best.
