Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Morning all on a dull day here in the north west. I’ve finally cancelled our flights to Kos and so too our island hop. We should have been leaving on Sunday so my lovely husband has booked us in a hotel in Liverpool and at the new Greek restaurant on Castle Street on the basis that if we can’t get to Greece we’ll have a bit of Greece here.
As it’s a special weekend for me, today I am going to get my nails and toes done then off out to lunch with my friends from work, and tomorrow- weather permitting- we’re off for a day out to Lytham with the family.
Yesterday I tried to see if I could drive but I couldn’t manage the gear stick on mine and getting in and out was a bit inelegant and neither could I manage the gears on Garry’s car even though it’s an automatic, so I’m a passenger princess for a bit longer sadly. I think my rehab is going well tho as I am increasing my passive and active ranges of movement and strength but not there yet. It’s a bit frustrating to be so one armed but I’m getting there. I’m glad that your doc @anjelikaferrett has signed you off - these things take some getting over.
Have a great Friday everyone 💙
Sorry you had to cancel your holiday. How lovely is Garry, he’s definitely a keeper, 😂.
Have a great time.💙

Good morning, not much to tell you about.I went back to the doctor who signed me off for four weeks- he also told me to keep swimming and try something like yoga.So I might be joining @jazzy as a yoga person. Bannatynes have loads of classes but I’ve no idea which one to attend. 'Gentle yoga' looks like a good starting point but they also do Yin yoga and Ishengar yoga. Any advice much appreciated.
Have a good day all x
Good that you have been signed off for four weeks, takes time to recover from these things. Take it easy and good luck with the yoga.💙

Never has a pint tasted as good as it does now. Fantastic work day with a celebration after. Professional and mature to the end (😀) I slipped away, back home for a nice drink in the garden with some nibbles.

Dublin to look forward to again on Sunday and hopefully another result for the boys in Orange.
Cheers mate.👍

Happy G&T Friday everyone. Hope you all have a great weekend.

Well I've sorted out my trip up to Liverpool. Not only going to see Wombats but also Sting on the Saturday. My mate said he'd come to The Wombats if I went to Sting with him. Apparently he's playing all the Police hits si should be good. The Christians are supporting and I loved them in the 80s too. First 4 days in Liverpool are planned, just need to arrange the next 5 days agenda.😀

Morning guys, sorry I haven’t been around for a few days but it’s been somewhat full on and tiring looking after Kay. Hopefully I’ll get some time over the weekend. Anyway, love to you all and enjoy your football free weekend…….
You are missed Pete ,best wishes coping with the situation ,stay strong that man.

Good morning all on this threatening day here looks like rain but it might pass .I hope all are well and had a good night . I am researching a disc and pad brake change for our car ,gone are the days you jack it up and get on with it -I have been a while trying to find out how to enter service mode -still not done it ! As the brakes will not retract enough to remove and insert the new pads . It will not beat me as I have Claude on it . Have a great day all , added strength to Pete .COYB

Morning all. Not up too much, looks like rain again. It must have been windy the other night a few trees on the green around the corner have tipped over.

It's that time of year where it's just sinking in the football season has finished and as frustrating as football is, it still leaves a hole in the weekend.

I'll be spending the day fighting a bloody headache that's here already ffs

Good news for now at least, I still got my limited capacity for work payment, that's a big relief, I don't know how I'd manage without it. I'd much prefer being able to work though, it's definitely not healthy being at home all the time, so glad I have Daisy so at least I must go outside.

Have a good day all.

Great news! It must be really horrible fighting headaches so much. I hope you enjoy your walk with Daisy, the forecast says it’s going to brighten up this afternoon.

Such good news about your payment. You are so right about getting out and about being good for you and having a dog to walk is one of the best incentives. We have the sunshine here - I’ll send some up to you. Hope your headache improves and you have a good walk with Daisy.
