Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Good morning, not much to tell you about.I went back to the doctor who signed me off for four weeks- he also told me to keep swimming and try something like yoga.So I might be joining @jazzy as a yoga person. Bannatynes have loads of classes but I’ve no idea which one to attend. 'Gentle yoga' looks like a good starting point but they also do Yin yoga and Ishengar yoga. Any advice much appreciated.
Have a good day all x

you only have to ask......

in Yin yoga you hold the posture ( called an asana ) for an extended period of time. Think a stretch that you hold for at least a cuople of minutes. I like it but it can be challenging for beginers.

With Ishengar yoga is more commonly known as Ashtanga. In this type of yoga there is a flow and connection between the asanas - Sun Salutation is a good example. Its the most common form of yoga in the UK. You link the postures to your breath. It's really nice.

However , particularly as you are recovering from injury I'd start with the gentle yoga and work up.

Good luck - you'll be doing Bikram Yoga ( hot yoga which is like a cardio workout in sauna type heat - you literally sweat pounds ) in no time .

Thank you. I shall have a look at what's on offer. I have bought a yoga mat from Amazon - coming tomorrow

A month? OMG it makes me realise just how lucky I've been. This may sound strange Anj but I hope it's more physical than mental. The latter can take a good while to shake off. Either way I hope you start feeling better soon. 💙💙

Morning all, rain is going to fall I think.

I suppose I best get on the phone before it gets pushed back again.

Has anyone ever heard of these guys Déjá Vega, my cousin put me on to them, British band, I find them pretty good and am shocked they don't even have 1000 subscribers

He's told me to check out a band called Personal Trainer as well.

My cousin took his daughter who I think is about 14-15 not sure to see The Bluetones in Blackpool the other week and got turned away at the door as it was over 18's and it never mentioned that on the flyer. Shocking that i think.

Anyway have a good day, I might just pelt you all with music today haha

There's hundreds of good bands around T that haven't made it into the public domain. I'm looking at buying tickets for a concert in Liverpool next month. The Wombats are headlining with Pale Waves in support. But it's the three acts that make up the card that I'm most excited to see. Corella, Overpass and Keyside have around 4000 YouTube subscribers between them.

I was going to link a band I thought you might like that I came across a few months ago, but I can't remember what they are called. They are a young British band that remind me of Evanescence. Lead singer's a poppet too.

Good morning all on this fine day here .I hope all are well after a good night . Nothing much happening here other tha planting 300 daffs that the local garden centre wants rid of as they have all gone over ,so they are destined to live a new life under our only apple tree ,the one with apples that taste of nothing ! Our neigbour loves them and so to do the deer .Have a great day all COYB

I have just read that Tom Cruise has bought a Finning sailing boat -A Swan ,which is a well renowned name in boating circles .It is 124ft long and needs 5 / 10 professional crew to sail it and it cost 30million euros .
It reminded me of a friend who was filling his boat at a place in the archipelargo when a Russian yacht pulled in and filled up with 70,000 euros of fuel !

*Tom Cruise is still a nutter.

Morning all on a dull day here in the north west. I’ve finally cancelled our flights to Kos and so too our island hop. We should have been leaving on Sunday so my lovely husband has booked us in a hotel in Liverpool and at the new Greek restaurant on Castle Street on the basis that if we can’t get to Greece we’ll have a bit of Greece here.
As it’s a special weekend for me, today I am going to get my nails and toes done then off out to lunch with my friends from work, and tomorrow- weather permitting- we’re off for a day out to Lytham with the family.
Yesterday I tried to see if I could drive but I couldn’t manage the gear stick on mine and getting in and out was a bit inelegant and neither could I manage the gears on Garry’s car even though it’s an automatic, so I’m a passenger princess for a bit longer sadly. I think my rehab is going well tho as I am increasing my passive and active ranges of movement and strength but not there yet. It’s a bit frustrating to be so one armed but I’m getting there. I’m glad that your doc @anjelikaferrett has signed you off - these things take some getting over.
Have a great Friday everyone 💙

Yes that's the one Blue. I hope I'll be able to make it happen. It revolves around a planned racing trip to Edinburgh and I'm waiting to speak to my friend about that.
I’ve just been reading about a festival in Liverpool called Bed by Ten! It’s a rave for the over 30s which runs from 3-10 and aimed at those who don’t do late nights anymore. Well that’s what I think it means.
