Hopefully we are being proactive and recruiting his successor this summer to learn from him and rotate. At this age his legs could go overnight like we saw with Distin.

For me he’s up there with N’Golo Kante in terms of playing style. Kante too is one of my favourite players , who’s actually a bit younger than Gana , but having him around for two seasons to help develop the likes of Harrison Armstrong is fantastic.

Love Gana what a servant he has been, he deserves every penny of that 2 year extension.

What also needs to be addressed this summer is his replacement. Get a couple younger high potentials in who can shadow and learn from him. His experience would be absolutely invaluable.

Huge relief this seems to be going through.

We really didn’t want to have to replace the hardest member of the squad to replace while we’re also looking to rebuild the rest of the squad like never before.
