We've got 2 years to find his younger replacement. Great news. As long as you forget that we've been looking for Coleman's replacement for 6 years. But saying that, I think these new owners aren't like the last clowns, they seem to know what they're doing.

Gana long term has to be answered this summer. Expecting a 36 year old DM to play the season and the ACON, might be a bit much. A.Gomes and Mainoo please. Two reducer midfielders brought in, and focus on the RW and Striker. Lock down the centre of the pitch, move the play to the quicks on the wing, hit Beto/the new striker, and Alcaraz with the late run. I'd like to see us concede much less goals, and chances for that matter. Be a real pain in the azz side to play. All energy and bustle. We can't get Pele and Ronaldo and Modric, so lets find a style where we can be head and shoulders the best. We ground down forest and newcastle away, they couldn't get to grips with the game and summon the energy to overcome us.

anyone see Leon Osman in him?

small fellows but excellent on the ball. Although I've never seen Gueye play out wide like Ozzy did.

…no, Osman was all about quality in possession, Gueye is lots about winning possession. One really good with the ball, the other really good out of possession. Other than stature and them being Everton midfielders I don’t see any similarities.

Gueye did terrific with the interception leading up to our goal on Sunday, little moments like that making huge differences.
