Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Is he up to the premier league physically? Never seen him play but heard he's weak defensively

Saw him play for Peterborough a lot. Very Baines like going forwards but not sure how good he would be defensively in the premier league. It’s a shame they missed out on promotion. Could have seen how he got on & then signed him when Sheffield Utd went straight back down.😀

He did get caught out ball watching in one of the play off games which resulted in a goal. He’d only get limited chances if that happened with Moyes.

Heard a whisper that Villa could look to offload Ramsey for around £50m, if Branthwaite is on his way out for around £80m (if), then could a deal be done which in effect is a £30m outlay from Villa to Everton?

It’s on one of those rubbish rumour sites. Load of tosh

I think we need to stay away from players like Antony and Grealish. We'll be making mistakes again. I don't want to be a club that players use to try and find their form again. We have to stay away from the so called big names
As I said, there's no "finding form" in this case. He already found it and has been one of the best players in La Liga since moving there in January.

Maybe we shouldn't have signed Ndiaye either, he was actually in poor form in France before moving to us?

And since I know people don't even bother clicking links when they have decided what they think of something (e.g Antony is crap even if he wins Ballon d'Or next season):

Such has been Antony's impact on loan at Real Betis from Manchester United, the Spanish club's players are seemingly willing to go to any lengths to keep the Brazilian winger.

Since his loan move from Old Trafford at the end of January, the Brazil international has helped transform the club's season.

They moved from ninth in La Liga to sixth and a spot in the Europa League, with Antony also instrumental in taking them to their first European final - when they face Chelsea in the Conference League on Wednesday in Wroclaw, Poland.

In 25 matches since he joined, Betis have won 13 and drawn eight, losing only four. Their 51 goals in that time is at a rate of better than two a game and Antony has directly contributed to 14 of them, with nine goals and five assists, including scoring in both legs of the dramatic semi-final victory over Fiorentina.
I won't copy the stuff about his off-field issues but he did score 8 goals for ManU in his first season with three assists.

Ramsey has never nailed down his best position and is injury prone and too expensive.

Mbeumonis a good player but I’m wary of paying record fees for players with one good season. Same goes for Cunha.

There’s better value to be had and hopefully Moyes will find it.
