Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I think there's a chance he's still with us next year unfortunately.

We have 3 centre backs who are top half quality, making it one of our better positions for depth. I can imagine moyes being okay with him being 4th choice, as there are many other positions that need transfers more desperately.

We'll see though

Agree. Hasn’t been overly crap when played under Moyes?

Well settled in the area, prob happy to take a reduced (but still massive) salary and play a bit part

I think we need to stay away from players like Antony and Grealish. We'll be making mistakes again. I don't want to be a club that players use to try and find their form again. We have to stay away from the so called big names

I agree with you, but I don't mind us offering a second chance to someone if it's on loan or otherwise lower risk. Moyes did that well in his first spell and we benefited though the market is not the same in that sense anymore.

I wouldn't be happy at all spending big money on Antony.

From Sheffield United, I think we should consider their left back Harrison Burrows.

23 years old who moved during last summer from Peterborough where he was named Player of the Season and Supporter Player of the Year.

His disallowed goal in the Playoffs meant he missed out on the Prem but he has a lot of what we want in a full back:
Pace
Passing
Crossing
Creator

Is he up to the premier league physically? Never seen him play but heard he's weak defensively

He's far superior to Ndiaye. Although, I preface that by saying I haven't seen a great deal of Ndiaye.
Then how in the world is he far superior to Ndiaye? Our best attacker is not simply not comparable to a bit part left midfielder at Villa.

Not a bit part player - was injured and now getting back up to speed. He's a future England international. I wouldn't compare him to a forward as they are obviously different players and, of course, I wasn't the one who was comparing them.
