Can't help but feel that win just put a massive target on the backs of JB, OB and Charly. Because of a certain dikweed at Old Trafford, Newcastle could now buy all three like we take a piss.

That win could well do more harm long-term than if they'd all had stinkers. But maybe that's just learned behaviour from the Mosh years. Plus, I don't really blame Gordon for wanting out, especially after the shenanigans after Southampton did us in Lamp's last home game.
a win can do more harm long term?

please explain

Clinging on at the end, but Dom (more so) and Beto both had decent chances to put the game to bed. Impressed with Beto today, his game has really come on.
Gana was also everywhere - hope we can keep him.
Great watching Ndiaye wriggle out of tackles. He doesn't seem that quick but still manages to get around people somehow.
Also though the defence did well. Young got done a few times on the outside, but you'd expect that as they have pace out wide. But Keane and O'Brien snuffed nearly everything out.

Wasn't expecting that at all. Shame Villa and Forest blew it, as I'd rather they'd make the champions league. Don't really care though. Fingers crossed we can take this form into the new season with some fresh faces. Bravo Moyes - really wasn't sure about bringing him back at the time but given where we were and how it was looking, and the team available, he has to get an A+ for his share of the season.

Well a great result and a great way to sign off the season. While I thought we’d probably lose today, I had a sneaky feeling that we’d be in a game, they had Champions League to play for and so had that pressure on their shoulders, while we didn’t, unlike some of our last day drubbings in recent years, where neither side were under any pressure whatsoever.

Quite refreshing to see the attitude of our players on the last day of the season, putting in the effort and not going through the motions. Always the question of quality in certain moments today, of course, but I for one can’t question the effort the team put in today.

Alcaraz could barely walk when he came off and N’Diaye was getting lumps kicked out of him and the ref was allowing it. Gueye’s reading of the game is exceptional beyond belief and I truly believe without him today, there would have been a couple of moments where Newcastle go on and create a clear chance. Pickford I thought was outstanding and pleased that he kept a well deserved clean sheet and the only disappointment for his sake, was the result didn’t stop them from getting Champions League. England’s number one no doubt. Beto I thought had his best game since his purple patch when Moyes came back. He absolutely bullied their back line and Botman must’ve been relieved that he was the one that got subbed off, can’t remember him winning a header against Beto.

All in all, since Moyes returned, we’ve earned 31 points, matched last season’s total on the pitch, got us 23 points clear of the drop, when we were only 1 above, at the time of his arrival. He more than merits being the man that is our manager at BMD. He along with everyone else has a big summer ahead, but I have a bit of cautious optimism for next season, compared to how I have felt at the end of the last few seasons.

Well, I guess you can find negatives in anything if you try hard enough.
