2024/25 David Moyes

Can’t get over that deserved win today. With all the emotion of last week to go and do that today against a team who had everything to play for and just last week with a win at Arsenal could’ve been playing to finish second in the league today. No mean accomplishment. Absolutely class. David Moyes last day record as Everton manager feels like it’s pretty good. He’s obviously not here long term this time. Let’s hope that the chap who replaces him doesn’t rip us apart like Martinez did.
I hope he is here for the long term, I’ve said it before this isn’t the same Moyes we had the first time. This could be his last big chance to achieve something great with owners who could finally back him. Just my inkling and just an opinion but I think he could do something special with us. Time will tell.

He’d have had us safe (17th) if we’d had 0 points when he took back over.

Amazing, with that squad.
On paper, but in reality if we had been within touching distance it would have been the carrot one of either Ipswich or Leicester could have used to put a few results together.

The 31points from 57 Moyes has won would see us in 9th place. Only 3points from 3rd or 7 from top

What most impressive for me is the standards mate.

Whatever about Southampton, Fulham and today had zero jepordy and years gone by we would drop a level, we put in two huge shifts on both those games, with virtually nothing it for us, a baseline standard has been set, a winning mentality.

Winning breeds winning.

That’s the thing. You can only control what you do on the pitch. Maintaining high standards is the number one priority. Everything else takes care of itself.

That’s 1.63 ppg, moving ahead of Ancelotti 1.53

1.63 is the highest ppg in history of our club.
Ancelotti was absolutely garbage for us. His first half season was trash given his reputation and then to be 2nd on Boxing Day and end up finishing 11th on his wage and the increase in the wage bill he oversaw was embarrassing. Moyes has come in with a much worse squad and done 5x better.
