Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I’d suggest we should not be buying off the promoted teams… they will inflate their prices big time in the forlorn hope of keeping their best players to stay up.

Maybe the best of the non-promoted players… but really we should be looking abroad & OOC (there are some decent squad fillers, couple of potential starters & both back up keepers to be had on that list) to get the numbers in.
I’d be taking players who’ve played in England anytime over a player abroad. A million times easier to judge how they cope with English football.

I guess it comes down to how much you trust Moyes to make the right buys.

For every tarkowski there is a Josh king

For every James Rodriguez there is a rondon.

When you look at our last 15 free transfers in 2 of the best 3 are from abroad (James & Bernard)

Personally I think it’s more nuanced than ‘foreign lads don’t know how to play footy the English way’ when you consider systems & levels of scouting.

Coventry fan I know reckons we're trying to sign Haji Wright. Said fella is a known bullshitter, but I bloody hope not.

Fast, but badly Demari Gray. From farm foods.

I really hope this isn't a sign of the market we are shopping in.
One of the worst strikers I have seen this season in the Championship. I reckon Paddy Power had him in mind when they thought up the advert where the striker completely misses the ball when facing an open goal.

Should we try and sign this lad or is there much of a difference between him and Beto?

Ignore competing for those poxy Titles, Cups and European Competitions, and the £200,000+ wage packets the biggest Clubs across Europe are desperately throwing at you Lad.

Come play for us, we are a bit better than Coventry and you’ll be replaced up front after 70mins by Micheal Keane. With your help we can perhaps get all the way up to 13th again next year, if ManU and Spurs have another once in a lifetime blip.

Very few Greggs in Barcelona, just saying.
