Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Always a big fan of the bedwetter shouts when there’s 6 hours left of the window and we haven’t signed someone for a position we badly need and haven’t addressed for 3 years.
Followed by the people who shouted "bedwetter" saying how disappointing the window was and "what could the manager do, it's the players" when we're turd. The Venn diagram is basically a circle.

linked to Danish 21 year old RB at Galatasary, Elias Jelert for around £6.7m. Story that Galatasary may prefer a loan

It's encouraging that we keep getting linked to youngish, inexpensive RBs. Maybe we've finally realised we need some actual RBs that can play multiple games a season.

Moyes found players like Stones, Baines, Steven P and Arteta. Complete off the radar players who were young and had potential.

I want that Moyes back not raiding former clubs or keeping old legs because its safe.

The fans will trust him if he adopts moyes version 1.0 transfer picks.

I wouldn't like to be in his shoes , lots of players out, fans not buying into current failed players. TFG have yet to show there hand on the transfer summer budget but Moyes has to be brave...the rewards of doing so could be significant next season.
Unfortunately the new DoF systems kill my chance of Moyes being allowed to make those signings again.

I do hope things are in the works behind the scenes.

Can’t be having another start of the season like the last few.

So much to get done, but I’m quietly optimistic it’ll be ok & addressed fairly efficiently.

Only basing that on the amount they are letting go, plus a whole new executive team of professionals who are decent at thier jobs…

Working on theory we have mcneil and ndiaye currently as attacking midfield. Would you think alcaraz (15million), mcatee (25million), and fellows (12 million) would be a decent investement to fill those atacking areas?

City would have no obligation to pay up his wages if they sell him and he agrees the move.. (would be about £30 million btw)
What I mean is no one outside of city is going to pay a fee and his current wages, so 99% of players would sit tight until a deal is reached.

City will want him gone, Pep has said as about shedding squad players this week, they will want his wages gone, so if they can get someone to pay £40-60m but that club will only pay him £120k (for arguments sake) City will be paying up the balance of his contract that ain’t covered by the new team imo.

Pace, counter attacking threat, killers upfront.

Palace have shown that you can win one off big games and therefore trophies when you have that threat in your team. Bournemouth the same. Even Brentford.

Everton continue to fail at top grounds because even when we have a decent team together, a top 6 side in rubbish form can still comfortably outstrip us in most departments and never have to fear our attack in behind. Therefore they grow into games and end up comfortable.

We need the sort of raw threat we had with Barkley Mirallas Lukaku in 13/14 but this time with a competent manager in charge to take it forward.

Look at Barkley’s goal away at Newcastle, or Lukaku at home to Arsenal, Mirallas v Stoke and Spurs. That’s the type of offensive fire power we need to rattle top teams away from home. Not McNeil getting it and immediately chopping back inside and backwards because he’s running in sand.

Fellows and mcneil are wingers for a start. Ndiaye plays left wing and plenty of clips of mcatee down the right wing as well.
If you have the iverlapping full backs, our wide men arent very wide anyway. Ndiaye often plays several yards in from the wing.

Its me, generally wondering about money, potential and numbers that we need to get in.

Personally id like that Chris Rigg out wide but hed cost around 30 million
