Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

You know what, if he was fit, on an ok wage, and playing every week in his best position, he’d be an asset no doubt as I think he’d be motivated to get back in the England team.

I just can’t see us shelling out for his wages or him wanting to come here. Got Villa or Spurs written all over him.
Yeh, a few years back I'd have taken him.

Keep seeing his name being linked by a frap source, but wanted to throw it in here, hoping everyone to go mental 😏

I agree, I think he will end up back at Villa

Depends on his wages where he ends up.

I can`t see there being many takers at all, due to his current wages.

Going out on loan is much more likely, with City paying a big chunk of his wages.

Bear in mind, he`s still got two years left on his contract.

Moyes found players like Stones, Baines, Steven P and Arteta. Complete off the radar players who were young and had potential.

I want that Moyes back not raiding former clubs or keeping old legs because its safe.

The fans will trust him if he adopts moyes version 1.0 transfer picks.

I wouldn't like to be in his shoes , lots of players out, fans not buying into current failed players. TFG have yet to show there hand on the transfer summer budget but Moyes has to be brave...the rewards of doing so could be significant next season.

His wage will be largely taken care of out of his contract balance being paid up by City from the transfer fee.

Bit like how we ended up subsidising Edam heads wages when he was employed by the Dutch FA for the national team after we sacked him 🤬

I do hope things are in the works behind the scenes.

Can’t be having another start of the season like the last few.

So much to get done, but I’m quietly optimistic it’ll be ok & addressed fairly efficiently.

Only basing that on the amount they are letting go, plus a whole new executive team of professionals who are decent at thier jobs…

Mangala was absolutely average and the fact that was better than some of the other players we’ve had in there shows how poor the squad has been.

Gueye, Garner, Mangala, Davies, Allan, Siggurdson, Barry, Schneiderlin, Delph, Klaasen, Rooney. - not an ounce of pace between any of them and only Gueye and occasionally Allan even had any aggression.

Doucoure Onana McCarthy at least had the legs to cover the ground but their technical skills were limited and even then Onana was snatched off us straight away.

People want technical players, absolutely, we all do, but you cannot dominate teams in possession if you can’t get the ball back when you lose it.

I’m absolutely sick of watching Everton teams chasing shadows against nearly every team in the league because we have no legs upfront, no pace out wide, can’t cover ground in midfield, and have two tug boats at centre back.

It starts in the engine room though. We should be looking at players that can get in the face of top opposition, knock them off their game. There wouldn’t have been any ‘dogs of war’ if the dogs can’t even run quick enough to get a tackle in. We even had a good few quick midfielders in the 90s who could put it about but since McCarthy and Barkley we’ve barely bought anyone with the pace in there to get on top of the opposition.

Looks like Pedro at Brighton is up for sale. Shame that they'll be wanting a huge fee. I like him.

Baleba is the type of midfield monster we need. Have to make that type of player a priority.

I wonder if our transfer record will be broken this summer.

City would have no obligation to pay up his wages if they sell him and he agrees the move.. (would be about £30 million btw)
