Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Javi Puado is finishing up a contract with La Liga club Espanyol. He's making peanuts, apparently currently on wages of less than €10k. In many ways, he's like a budget Richarlison, with a lot of the same skills and known for his tenacity, Interestingly, Spurs have reportedly scouted him intensively, so maybe they consider him a Richarlison replacement they might have more success with. He had 11 goals and 3 assists for Espanyol in 34 appearances this season.

So, we still see DCL as our No 1 striker and are desperate for him to sign a new deal, offered a deal to Young, but he turned it down, have offered a deal to Doucoure on reduced terms and are considering offering a deal to Keane to be 4th choice CB. God, that was a grim listen on a certain podcast 😡🤬

We never learn do we?
Which podcast? Think I need to avoid for the sake of my blood pressure... 🤯

Calling BS on that.

Big B is our #1 currently, going on team selections.

Delap being heavily linked with Man Utd. I don’t have a subscription but reported in The Athletic apparently and their journos are normally pretty good
Good luck to the pair of them, if so.

Might end up being a good swerve by us, when he ends up just another footballing corpse in their strikers’ graveyard.

Be nice to get one of our marquee signings (you can debate what constitutes marquee) in really early doors in the window, so everyone can chill out and not wet their knickers all summer.

Also from a marketing/hype point of view get them photographed in the new ground and the kids can all get his name on their new shirts for their summer hols.

Big early test for TFG of their reputation going forwards. Do they mean business instead of making ends meet?

Think with Moyes we're not in danger next season and also there will be a buzz with the new ground which should last the majority of the season. But it's really gonna take the edge off and people will think nothing has changed if the transfer window is a bit of a wet fart.

I hope I am wrong I really do but I have a terrible feeling Moyes wants to keep the misfits due to a mid table summer budget.

I really hope I am wrong.
Get what you mean but even if keep them players still need to bring in alot. I kno will be some frustration but well got to just wait and see what we do in the window. Most likely will be a long window

I have seen it reported in a few places that we are hoping DCL will sign a contract and are trying to sell Beto to Turkish teams for between £14m and £16m. I really dont get this at all. If we were linked to a striker that had scored 8 goals in the premier league, it would be £25m to £30m.

I am a bit torn on resigning DCL as well, he has quality, but he just is not fit often enough, hes on £100k a week now, there were rumours that he wanted £140k a week last summer to sign a new deal. I guess since he has underperformed and been injured this season no one is prepared to pay him that kind of money, so now he is interested in doing a deal?

And thats 8 goals in 14 starts. No way they sell Beto for that...
