Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

New full backs are absolutely vital for me, above any position other than arguably a new striker.

More quality at left back is vital to get the most out of N'diaye and we currently have no quality at right back.

Quality at LB and RB is central to a Moyes team at their best.

Players with the potential to match the quality of Baines and Coleman has to be the goal. Yeah, I know, but NSNO.

Probably ask silly money but I quite like the Ipswich left back Davies...

Seems quite quick and offers plenty going forward....

There's a few players I reckon would do well here from the sides going down...

Davies, greaves, delap from Ipswich

El khanouss and justin from Leicester

Harwood bellis, Walker Peters, and sulemana from saints

If you was buying a number 2 for Everton, who would you be looking at?
Well there's a number of things to take in to account.
1 is the goalie ok with being the number two
2 fee and wages. How much do we want to spend on a back up
3 Ability to play goal in the Prem.
In the championship the Three best goalies in my opinion are Travers at Burnley, Patterson at Sunderland and a left field choice is Travers at Boro

We still need a lot like, but the wide areas are certainly crucial.

But just as much as that is a proper striker, plus better backup: Beto failed to stay onside yesterday and could have had a hat trick, instead ending up goalless. DCL came on and looked useless. Chermiti hasn't ever shown he's anything special.

That might free up an additional £20m that we're allowed to spend on top of what the club has already budgeted for that stay within the rules. Sadly, unless Branthwaite goes, there's nothing else to sell.

IMO we should be looking to punt Beto back to Italy for as much as we can squeeze out of somebody, releasing DCL and bringing in two much superior replacements.

We definitely need at least one flying full back and one flying winger in the summer, but two of each would be much better.

No doubt we'll need to use the loan market again but sadly we haven't had much success with that in recent years. Definitely not finding real starting XI solutions on loan.

We need at a minimum:
1x proven clinical striker
1x better all-rounder striker
1x pacy, goal-scoring winger
1x defensively solid, quick full back who is comfortable attacking
1x central midfield ballplayer
1x capable backup goalkeeper
1x young centre half

Much better if we can also add:
1x additional winger
1x additional full back
Alcaraz permanent
Mangala on loan

That's 11 in. We can certainly shop in the Championship for a number of these, Rigg, Bellingham and Fellows might be options, although I'm not seeing any pace there. One of the first two might be ok. Hopefully we can shop abroad for better value for money in the most important areas.

1 more game to go and then I hope to see a complete reset of Everton Football Club

Let's hope we now have people in place who can make a little money stretch a long long way. We need creative signings, we need quantity but most of all we need to add some much needed quality.

Left back
Right back
Right wing
Centre mid
Striker

All need to be top end quality.

Then for depth we need

A full back who can cover both positions
Centre half
Creative player
Goalkeeper

Here's hoping Tim and Harrision can step up and play a bigger role this season as well.

Can’t believe you watch us and think full
Backs is the most important position, it’s important don’t get me wrong. But number 10 A right winger and centre midfield should be the 3 positions we should be putting the majority of our money into

…maybe better quality full backs will help Moyes deploy a more conventional no10. Perhaps it’s one of the reasons he/Dyche played Doucoure. The whole balance of the team needs a re-set and that might not be as straightforward as we think.

Reading people’s lists here, they are quite long and a lot if not all of those positions are first choice 11 roles, which I think is why will be offering extensions to some of the less desirables in the squad at the moment on reduced terms. A mix of the younger groups coming through and relegating first choice players now to back up will allow whatever the budget is to be more focused on the first team.

Yep, people won’t like it and will moan about it but, some of our less desirable players will probably retained for the exact reason you mention above. It’s common sense really

Doucs clearly off, judging by his reaction going off yesterday. Dom clearly NEA, so ditto. Séamus brief final hurrah, apparently staying in some capacity, almost certainly not in a playing role tho. Youngy off also. Moyes apparently ambivalent on Charly. Who does that leave?

Better full backs completely transform the way the team can play and means we don’t have to have talentless cloggers in the side because they can run.
