Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Wonderful, wonderful day and a bit pissed now.

Went to Goodison , it was crazy , chaotic and the blue smoke was very very acrid but wouldn't have missed it for the world.

Got a great spec in the Thomas Frost to watch the game and the atmosphere was fantastic - better than I ever remember if at Goodison!

Managed to meet up with Fred after the game and have a.pint and then went home.

Wonderful occasion. The blues didn't let us down and just brilliant.

Oh I fell for that one- it might be cheaper than my hair conditioner tbh. I do have form with animal meds. I once found some chocolate in the cupboard when I lived at home with my mum and sister and thought - I’m having that. Only later when my sister asked if anyone had seen where the chocolate was that she’d hidden the dogs meds in…..
And that didn’t do me any harm - or did it 🐶

Might explain your difficulty in walking past lampposts……..

It's funny really ; as you might, or might not know, my mother died last year, and the most odd occurrences make me remember her. Flicking through the Radio Times I noticed that the Guns of Navorone is on. It was her favourite film and she watched it religiously every time it was on, and insisted that Navarone was pronounced with an emphasis on the last E- ee.

I got quite maudlin when I saw the listing, I'm sure these inconsequential things will trigger memories as the months and years roll by, but I suppose that's an integral part of life.

Drink of course may have paid a part of of my self pity.

It’s not self pity, it’s emotional grief for a loved one……

Those smoke bombs are stinking. Thought I was going to go blind in an orange fog last week at the game.

Glad you had a good day and met up with Fred. That’s a day for family and friends and thats how I spent mine with my sons. Doesn’t matter that we’re hundreds of miles away, we all joined in the singing today at home and enjoyed the occasion 😀.

Pizza delivery and a few drinks is now the plan!
