2024/25 Seamus Coleman

Yeah.

And Wales. And England. And Scotland.

Dave this isn't Glasgow mate. We're not affiliated with Celtic no matter how much you think we are (or Rangers for that matter). You know this.

…was thinking exactly this when posting today’s countdown pic from the club;

No idea why you're bringing all that into this.

A poster complained that Coleman's departure would inevitably necessitate we have another Irishman to come in and get injured while on duty for Ireland and my response was that we could instead just thank them for providing so many of our players.

I think if he is retiring, it'll be announced today as he won't want all the attention taken away from Evertons final home game in the build up to it this weekend.
Or could announce it on the pitch after the game in fairness. He'll probably take the mic, as club captain. Imagine we'll hear from him, Moyes and of course Club Master of Ceremonies Darren Griffiths.

I`m not sure why we`d be thanking Ireland For supplying too many of our players the last 50 odd years. Jake O`Brien and Seamus are there at the moment, but Carsley is from the midlands, Killbane was from Preston, Sheedy was Birkenhead, Ireland had no input into producing any of those 3.

Ok.

Moyes has just said in his Presser:

"Seamus will stay next season. Without doubt. Seamus will be part of the group. I need him here - his leadership, his message he has amongst the players in the dressing room. It'd be wrong of me to let him go."

"One way or the other, Seamus will be here next season."

“One way or the other”. So as a coach then.

The last line to me sounds like he could be staying as a coach rather than a player?
