We have some in our garden— I don’t like the smell either and no matter how much we think we’ve got rid of it, it pops back up every yearThere’s some grows under the hedge in my brother’s garden, can’t stand the smell, it’s awful.
Great decision making!Evening everyone, it’s been perishing here, hope it’s warmer where you are. Whilst the husband was doing the school run this afternoon there was a phone call from the eye clinic offering him an appointment for a pre op assessment. The date was 19th May, the day we return from Liverpool. I took an executive decision and refused, (I think he would have taken the appointment and cancelled the trip), hoping they wouldn’t say he had to go to the back of the queue. I explained and the lady was very understanding and booked for the next day, so I dodged the bullet and we are still on speaking terms.

Are hosepipes not an option or will they get in the way ?Morning everyone,
I've always wanted to be ITK and I'm hoping and expecting to be able to make a very big Messy announcement soon.
As Blue Bill once infamously said "watch this space".
Well me and Mrs J moved about 3 tons of barking chipping yesterday ( perfect weather dry but not too hot ) and shock horror we've only covered about a third of the area of the beds . So, I'm sure that our friendly local tree surgeon will help out with some more - whether my back will take it is another matter.
Still absolutely no sign of rain in the forecast for the next 2 weeks so I will just have to carry on watering to try to keep the garden alive. Can't remember such a dry spell this early in the year. Not only is watering a pain in the arse but somewhat difficult when some areas of the garden are about 100 meters from the tap.
I will try to retain some energy for table tennis summer league tonight.
Have a lovely day everyone.
That's using 2 hose pipes joined together .....until the hose pipe ban comes in.Are hosepipes not an option or will they get in the way ?
They say moving home is very traumatic and I can see why . We had boxes a year after we got here still not even opened ,we did label them so not as bad as it sounds .Good morning all. I hope you are all well. Yesterday I logged on to work at 5.17am. The cat wanted to go.out, it was light, I was wide awake so I thought , what the hell, I might as well log on. The bonus being I finished at 2.30pm and still made up some time. This is what home working is all about. It's not a skive, (although as with any system there will always people who take advantage) it is a way to manage your day. And let's be honest, there are people in an office environment who manage to do very little every day - we've all met them!
Today I'm taking Charlotte, her partner and Frankie to register his birth. We've assumed Frankie has to come - sort of like proof of purchase. I honestly can't remember when we registered ours. Because he was born in a hospital in Middlesbrough we've got to register his birth in Middlesbrough- which is a bit more of a trek than doing it in Durham.
After that Mr F and I will be mostly hanging up.clothes. Our wardrobes arrived yesterday so no more rummaging through bin bags full of clothes to find a clean pair of pants!!
Have a fun day everyone x
Why don't to have a word with @Barnfred 55 ? He would welcome you with open arms , he has a lovely place to call base .That's using 2 hose pipes joined together .....until the hose pipe van comes in.
Working from home is definitely not a skive if you’re an honest worker. Years ago I used to work from home if I had a big piece of work that I had to concentrate on as at work we were in open plan work spaces and constant interruptions made it impossible. My son who works for the NHS in HR only goes in a couple of times per week as they have converted their offices to clinical spaces to help reduce waiting lists. You can’t have it all and these people have no idea.Good morning all. I hope you are all well. Yesterday I logged on to work at 5.17am.
