Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

A tear to my eye and a shiver down my back ,my old mum was watching with me ,how wistful they looked at the end . It surely has been a major part in my life and my love never deminishes . Like all things it waxes and wanes as far as the players go but for the club never .It made me so proud to feel a part of that .

Indeed….it’s strange to think that some of us have supported the blues for half the overall time since Goodison was built ….once a blue, always a blue………

Good morning all on this sunny day here .I hope all are well and had a good night .It seems Pete beat me to it again ! I found out that the moss from the roof can be composted but I am going to try using it as a mulch where I am planting a rose bed which is just gravel on top ,so I am hoping it will nourish and give the roots something hold on to . We can only grow "wild " roses none of your tea or cultivated stuff here .
Have a great day all COYB.

I once said I have probably been at or seen highlights of more than half the games we have played ,quite frightening to think that is true .
We remember the reds in div.2 Pete .When the only time they could play us was in the Liverpool floodlit cup !

Hi folks. I hope you have had a good Bank Holiday weekend. My ancient Government issue computer chair gave up the ghost on Friday so, rather than trouble the taxpayer and ask for a new one, I bought one off Amazon- half price. Best. Thing. Ever. It needed assembling but everything was labelled 'front' 'back' ' left' 'right ' and they even provided a pair of gloves.
I bought some plants on Saturday and have been potting them. Very therapeutic. Chris and Sophie came up today - they are very taken with their new auntie and uncle titles so offered to mind Frankie while Charlotte and her partner went into Durham for the afternoon. ( No prizes for guessing who was on taxi duty🤣) All parties had a great time l thought I was safe to put Sky Sports News back on but no, TTA's imminent departure has put them front and centre again - not that they are ever far away! I actually think he's overrated.
@Barnfred 55 I made chili last night using your recipe I had forgotten how gorgeous it is.
Have a lovely evening everyone x

Evening everyone. Went over to Mr G’s home village this afternoon. One of his “things to do “ every year is see the bluebells in the woods. Unfortunately they were past their best. They must have been early this year and although the bluebells might not have been in full bloom the May blossom certainly was. Here’s a pic.

Wasn't Hilary Clinton threatened with prosection for using a private email on Gvmt computer?

Be careful Anj if Farage the Poundland Trump becomes PM you could be in the firing line for saving the Gvmt money but using your own PC for work business 😂.

Had a very enjoyable evening watching the U15s cricket team beat Tarleton. Our openers were so good that they each retired when they made 50 each. We also had a couple of girls in the team. To be fair Tarleton's best bowler was a young girl - she was excellent and could be very good.

Great to see young players trying hard and having fun. Our supporters bemoaned the fact that Tarleton club didn't open their bar....good job the local Spar had a chiller cabinet full of prosecco 😂.

Sat next to a cricket coach and he was very impressed. We chatted about football and turned out he was a blue and was very hopeful that Delap will sign. I'm not sure he's ITK or anything.

Good morning all on this lovely day ,I hope all are well and had a peaceful rest last night .I am back on the roof today it as very windy yesterday so the boss wouldn't let me up there ,not sure if it is losing me or having to try to pick me up that drives her in her decision making ! It makes me think back 10/15 years when I was up a three floor block of flats standing on the bottom row of tiles talking down to a workmate on the ground ,no safety rope/harness and no scaffold .The stupid things I have done makes me wonder if I had a slate loose .
Have a great day all COYB

Evening everyone, it’s been perishing here, hope it’s warmer where you are. Whilst the husband was doing the school run this afternoon there was a phone call from the eye clinic offering him an appointment for a pre op assessment. The date was 19th May, the day we return from Liverpool. I took an executive decision and refused, (I think he would have taken the appointment and cancelled the trip), hoping they wouldn’t say he had to go to the back of the queue. I explained and the lady was very understanding and booked for the next day, so I dodged the bullet and we are still on speaking terms.

I think you made the right executive decision on this occasion. Everyone is a winner.
