Hinchcliffe's Corner

Especially when the answer is O'Brien.I don't see the point of arguing about which of Young and Patterson are the best right back. Everton need and deserve better.

You have not yet had the MikeH72 experienceI don't see the point of arguing about which of Young and Patterson are the best right back. Everton need and deserve better.
I genuinely look forward to the day when we have a suitably quality right back so we aren't reduced to squabbling about Patto and Young.
If only either of them had signed him.Could be a market for him in the summer, Thelwel gone to Rangers and Lampard at Coventry.
Either would be a good move for him and for his sake he needs it developmentally if he's going to have a decentish career.

I think the best we can do with him would be to loan him out for a season and hope he does well that way.
If Moyes persists with him in the next few games, there may be hope for him as Moyss may think he can get to work on his defensive flaws over the summer.
If he's dropped and Young or Coleman come in against Fulham, I'd say that's him done.
Half what we paid for him would be 5.5m and a PSR profit. So if that happens, it’s not bad. He's this year's Holgate. Not rated by the fans, probably not rated by the coaching staff. We'll either send him out on loans until his contract runs down , or sell him back to Scotland for half what we paid for him.
