Sharpy’s return

I see Graeme Sharp, our leading post war goalscorer returned to Goodison Park today.

I’m all for forgiveness, especially for someone so high in stature here.

I’m not trying to excuse anything nor fan any flames. I know Richard Buxton has come under flak for this recently.

I’m fine with it if he wants to draw a line under it and continue being a part of a club he helped shape in some ways.

Thoughts?
I had and voiced some strong opinions on what went on under Kenwright , that said I was happy to see him return yesterday especially as it means he’ll probably be there for Southampton

Never should be able to return. He accused Everton supporters of criminal acts of violence.

WTF is happening to us as a fanbase if you allow that to be forgiven.
I think this might be the first occasion on here that you have been consistent on a subject. Shame it's this one.

I found it quite odd that he finally attended a match and brought along his misses bearing in mind that Goodison was supposed to be a dangerous place for him to be.
If that was not his misses then completely ignore this post as it is totally irrelevant.

she was wearing an anti-headlock scarf mate I assure you she would be quite safe.

I understand why emotions run a little bit high here, but we are talking about a fella who scored 160 goals for this club and pulled the shirt on 447 times.

We were, understandably, angry with the regime he became part of (and his friendship with Kenwright should not have blinded him to their failings, but that's in the past now).

I understand why he felt let down by the fans reaction to him. I understand why the fans felt betrayed by him.

There has to be scope for forgiveness and moving on. We are talking about one of our all time great players who loves the club dearly. I would absolutely like to see some contrition from him about the situation which preceded his departure from the board but nobody's telling me we can't forgive a man who's done what he's done for us.
