Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Would love Baleba but we have absolutely no chance at signing him imo, that valuation is way off.

Looks one of the best prospects Brighton have had and they will know that. Out of our price range unfortunately and would also have a very long line of suitors if he was to move.

I think he'd be a £50mil sale and we know Brighton like to sell to reinvest.

This type of player changes the team dynamic and would bring us away from the "we need Doucoure to help the midfield" nonsense.

Could we get him, probably not. I think alot depends on the number of positions were aiming to fill, (I'd go with 8) and the number of starters we're aiming to sign (i'd go with 3).

Depends on the money available.

Brighton are no mugs. Imo they will keep him another season and sell him for double that to a top side.

I agree though that he is the exact right type of player we should be looking at for our midfield.

20 goal a season strikers are as rare as hens teeth.
Plus, and this really bugs me. Look at Beto's goals to minutes ratio. It’s good. If he'd have played the whole season, I don't see how he couldn't get 12-15. He isn't a great player, but it is easier to learn to play better with your back to goal than it is to learn how to keep your composure and score goals. For me, Beto should be kept. Chermiti out on loan, Calvert-Lewin out on his ear and Broja sent back. Then bring in a starting CF.

People are too harsh on the lad. He's fairly good at the hardest thing to do in football. DCL is awful at it yet we know which one gets kept.

Its going to take 4-5 windows to change the squad as it is now. You’d think the TFG see us as a long term project and know a consistent level of spending is required.

With Moshiri we had one huge splurge, 2 seasons off good spending and then the tap got turned off.

When likes of Ipswich, Leicester, Brentford, Bournemouth are outspending you it will eventually catch up with you. Somehow we’ve avoid relegation hopefully those days will behind us soon

I would like to see an overhaul of our midfield. Apart from Gana, no one is good enough, and even Gana looked worryingly off his game.

Moyes developed Rice into an elite midfielder so am sure he’ll be looking for players he can similarly mould.

Be a lot of teams looking at a punt on Rudoni at Cov if they don’t get promoted. Bit of class about him. Vital in their win yesterday. My mate follows them home and away and insists he’s too good for the Championship. I tagged along one game and he stood out like when a first teamer coming back from injury plays with the 21’s.

9 goals and 13 assists this season and played 43 games, so is robust. Released by Palace as a kid and has got back to this level the hard way. Still only 23.
