Judging by the way he's walking / hobbling in this video, I'm not sure if he'll be back in a playing capacity.
Given his fitness, he's possibly 6th choice at right back. Which is no mean feat given 4 of them are pants. Hope he gets to lead the team out vs Southampton then sail off into the sunset to coach our 18s.
But he is nevet fit. He can't be relied on to be fit and that's been the case for half a decadeIf he was fit, when he is fit, he's first back up right back for us. If he wants it then a dual contract to cover and coach would be perfect. That said we have to buy a new starting right back as a priority this season so you'd have JOB to come in ahead when needed.
Being wrapped in cotton wool for Saints

I'd be pretty annoyed with the club if we let Coleman retiring/leaving overshadow the last game at Goodison.Probably get the last 30 seconds.
i agree however I got a middle finger from @PhoenixIreland when I made a comment about it.I'd be pretty annoyed with the club if we let Coleman retiring/leaving overshadow the last game at Goodison.
A testimonial would be fine, but it shouldn't overshadow leaving Goodison, he's not won a pot or anything in his time here. He wouldn't want it to anyway, very humble bloke.i agree however I got a middle finger from @PhoenixIreland when I made a comment about it.
He deserves his own send off for the fans/club to say thanks, separate from leaving Goodison.
Make no mistake, he will make it all about himself.I'd be pretty annoyed with the club if we let Coleman retiring/leaving overshadow the last game at Goodison.
Yeah, i agree. Hes got the posture of a 65yo when he walkes up to them. I hope he heals up great. If he doesnt play again for us except a small run out for the last game of the season, I think everyone would be happy with that - him included, looking at him here. That's actually very sad to see. Struggling on his feet like he's an OAP. Looks in pain from his lower back to his feet. Awful.![]()
He ought to announce his retirement imminently tbh, give the fans an opportunity to send him off properly. Agreed on how he was walking, I was staggered given he's supposedly fit enough to be on the bench. Probably 5 minutes against Southampton coming on at 89 minutes.Yeah, i agree.
