VAR

I think this is a tricky one. Seems the ref gave a penalty for a foul by Maguire which wasn't correct. So VAR look at it and think well maguire didnt do a foul sonits a clear and obvious error. If thye then analyse the shirt pull on its own, was that enough for a pen - i say they think it isnt enough and would be soft. So they say to the ref maguire didn't touch young do you want to take a look. He takes a look and says oh yes I see maguire did nothing so penalty overturned.
Whether they should.have shown him.thebshiry pull that he didn't see is a whole different question.
If the ref had spotted the shirt pull and said pen for the shirt pull to VAR I think they would not have intervened.

It’s all a load of horse 💩.
They spend 15 mins looking at several ‘phases’ of play when Beto scored, once they start looking they’re obligated to see if the ref missed anything else in the run up.
It’s was a pen all day everyday and twice in any game the where fouled party wears red.

And the answer is yes. Goals are getting ruled out or given every week, for stuff the ref didn’t see. For some reason they didn’t want to show him the full incident.

Utter bull

Keith Hackett has blasted the decision by Andy Madley to overturn his penalty award for Everton in stoppage time against Man United.

The former PGMOL chief and ex-FIFA official exclusively told Football Insider that referee Madley should have ignored VAR and stuck to his original decision to give the Toffees a spot-kick

Var should not have intervened at all.

Keep watching it back and it keeps getting worse every time. If that's United or Liverpool at home it's not even spoken about in terms of VAR. All season we've been told it's a high threshold for a decision to be overturned yet just look at that today.
Gutting and just mind blowing the blatant unfairness of it all. If young dived then send him off with a second yellow.
The reasons for the overturn is sinister.

Utter bull
It's bigger than bull 💩, mate. The way we got shafted today, it's more like:
Rhino Shitting 2.gif

And it equally stinks to high hell as well. I'm still seething because of it! 😤

So in recent seasons against United VAR has ruled out 2 late winners, a goal by DCL which would've got us a replay in an FA Cup tie and then a clear penalty today but of course it doesn't favour the 'big' teams does it?
wasnt the one where siggurdson was on the floor in an offside position but pulled his legs in against united?
