Please not Rod Belfitt,,,,
Good spotEl Tel in the background?
We had him almost signed as a youngster - the Catt had a verbal agreement with Revie - then someone got injured in the Leeds team - Bremner came in to the first team & excelled & called the deal off ...Alan Ball & Colin Harvey when asked who would they like to play with
Both went for Bremner
Dave Mckay ready to belt the little rat.
There is a face only a mother could love.
Recall the second attempt, I also think Robson was a perfect fit for us too, shame Moore's couldn't be more discreet.
My recollections of Revie were more of his stint for England than Leeds but do remember thinking his Leeds teams were hard as nails but still played some great football.
Please not Rod Belfitt,,,,
We done 8I have got memories of Leeds battering Southampton 7-0 and Leeds knocking the ball around the pitch
While soton players running round in circles
11 games he lasted with a young promising David Johnson going the other way to Ipswich .... plus we had to pay cash

'The Battle of Goodison at 50' - 1964.

2 or 3 died? Not having that. I was at that game and I don't recall anybody dying. There was a lot of trouble in the Street End but no deaths...I was there that day as the used the side Turnstile to take Gwladys street - Got in the paddock to see the bloodbath as knives & weapons were in use - ST John's Ambulance men with stretchers with blood dripping through the canvas running past me towards the park end - I think 2 or 3 Millwall fans died .... we got beat 2-0 in the FA Cup that day - awful scenes from the travelling fans - v the Gwladys street - a non contest .....
