Why on earth would we spend huge sums (in fees and wages) in the one position where we actually have some depth? The press seem determined to link him with us but I just can't see it.

Tyrer has been on loan to Blackpool this season and has asked EFC if he can stay there next season on a permanent deal.

Gana hasn't signed yet and I don't think most people consider Tyrer to be a first team squad member. So 14, really.

Agreed 100%, he may have been a great servant for the club but the guy is finished as a player. Put him on the coaching staff by all means.

We all know that he'll be leading us out for our first game at the dock. Nobody does sentiment like us. Did he lead us out at the last game of the season because that was the best sporting option? Of course not.
