Utterly ridiculous offering Coleman a new contract.
  • windymiller
And the common thread is that none of these players were bought from teams based in England. The English leagues tax is crazy. So many overpriced players.

    Oh no!

People are allowed to disagree with you, Eggs. It's funny that you're getting all defensive whilst doing exactly what you're accusing others of. You have an opinion, others have a different opinion. Tagging them, presumably to mock them (as you...

I can help you out, Eggsy. It's an older fella who constantly compares current players, either at the club or a mooted transfer target, unfavourably to players from Everton teams that existed between 38 and 70 years ago, whilst shaking their...

Not keen on either, tbh. We should be scouting the next Grealish or picking up a 25 year old Soucek alike from Europe somewhere. Fed up of paying top dollar for over the hill "premier league proven" players. We've been doing that for years and...

Whoever pays us the most Im generally happy with, don't wear them myself but haven't thought Castores effort have been too bad. The kits Nike done for us are arguably the worst we've ever had, so getting a bigger name sponsor isn't a guarantee...

Who knows, gents, I hate how much I talk about finances now rather than football? I also hate how opaque all of the rules and regs seem to be too. Happy to be wrong on this one, if that is the case.

They may be extremely old, to be fair.

I may be wrong but my understanding was that if, for example, we signed a £9m player on a three year contract that £3m would be booked as expenditure in each of the three PSR periods from that point. So if we signed that player in June 25, £3m in...

Depends how much we sign them for and how long their contract is. It also depends on how close to the line we are.
  • windymiller
True, but I think that was probably out of necessity given his clause and the competition. I'm sure the club would rather put expenditure in the next PSR window when our revenues will be higher. We'll see pretty soon whether I'm right.
  • windymiller
Given the PSR situation, I'd be amazed if we signed anyone else before the 1st July.

He’s delivered good performances for three seasons, lost three months to an ankle injury in 23/24. Mbuemo is not a flash in the pan. Great penalty taker too.
