I’d have him deeper mate, an 8, he can break a line with passing and was very impressed him driving with the ball, picking out lads, probing and with the timing of his runs into the box, coming from deep.

He also has the engine and physicality for it mate. There was a run he made into the box after starting the attacking phase, he was ahead of everyone even though he started behind, Clarke fluffed it but was thinking, yes high standards, desire...

Yeah, I'm very impressed. Looks like the loan move has helped him massively in coming out of his shell. He had glimpses in the cup games for us but felt like he was still within himself a tad. Feels like he's properly stepped up to men's football.

It’s his composure and confidence mate, he plays like some 10 years older, his standards are very high, he can also dictate a game and run a midfield. Hes 18 ffs and nor even that long, ridiculous.

Skill issue, not a preseason issue.

We just need fresh blood. The squad is a bit stale and we have also lost a lot of players over the summer. Need to inject some life into the side as well as much needed quality.

Id have him ahead of Garner at this rate. Id still sign a new CM to be a starter but he's showing enough this preseason to be part of the squad and to get regular minutes.

Don't care what he looks like in pre season as long as he's fit. He has been good when it's mattered for two seasons in a row now and fully expect him to be as good in his third.

He had promise when we first signed him but has stalled massively. Same with Myko. Both should be squad players now and I hope we make that happen this summer.
