    A friend of mine is a huge Boro fan so often we watch the games together and I must have seen Doak at least 15 times and I have to say he is nothing like Jack Harrison except he plays the same position. Often doubled up on because of his pace...

    I thought it was a decent read as a blue, filled in a few gaps of what was going on behind the scenes. My favourite part was where he recounted how he got the caretaker job at Everton and called Billy Liar a liar. Unsworth, DBB and Brands get a...

    Watching him waddle at full speed was a thing of beauty.

    TBF I wouldn't blame a player for backing themselves and thinking that he's good enough to go and start at Chelsea or wherever. Objectively he must know that he has a better chance of playing every week here, but it's not really fair to question...

    We were linked to him a month ago as well. If you watch Doak, he often goes on the outside and crosses right footed despite being a lefty. He's played on the right literally every time I've ever seen him play. Nowadays it's far more common for...

    Reading Duncs book i think he should let us know wether Doak or Delap are any good😉
  • toffeeblue9
    What? Why? He is nothing like DCL - he holds the ball up well, but his main strength is progressive runs with the ball. He's competitive and strong but he's not the sort of player you can knock a long ball to and ask him to win headers all game.

    They certainly will. Literally in the top 3 or 4 priorities IMO We have had a decent defence, but we also have struggled hugely to create anything and he's a major part of that problem. A left back who can contribute when we have the ball is a must.

    That’s fine if he’s getting 25/30 goals I’f your only skill is scoring and you get about 12, then that’s not good enough, if you want success
  • toffeeblue9
    You sure? He signed a "long term deal" 2 years ago. Haven't been able to find anything anywhere which says how long it was

    £30 mill is a lot of money, but it also depends on profile. If you pay close to £30 million for Yannick Bolasie at 27, its very expensive. If you pay £30 mill for a 19 year old and keep him for 8 -10 years, then its approx 3 mill a season...

    @davek when we sign Doak
  • toffeeblue9
    Possibly, but from everything I've seen Liverpool would be silly to sell him. He looks a huge prospect. £30m is on the high side, but not absolutely ridiculous given his ceiling and the price that other prospects have gone for - Brentford signed...

    In a heart beat I would take this lad.If he had stayed fit at Boro for the whole season he would have been the Championship player of the year.I watched him about 10 to 15 times this year and was a catalyst for Boro. I would take him before Delap...
