No Beto isn’t good enough full stop. And we will see it next season. I’d sell him, though I doubt that happens, but we can’t have him as our main number 9 next season, we need a much better all round striker

There's been a few The Benitez one would definitely be up there. Similar would be the sale of Anthony Gordon - not because I thought the fee wasn't tempting, but because he was our top scorer at the time and we were in a relegation scrap and we...

Whilst I agree something needs doing at right back. Coleman isn't going anywhere, Jake is comfortable enough there & Patto is still on the books. We only have Myko at left back. I want both positions dealt with.

i agree, however, i think there’s a good few right backs available on a free we should be looking at if jake gets injured we need better than patterson or coleman coleman in all honesty shouldnt get a minute next year apart from a 10 min run...

….i think his style better lends itself more to counter attack than ‘breaking teams down’. He’s excellent at transitioning from defence to attack, we don’t have many with that capability but I think we saw in the recent home game v Ipswich that...

Understand your point, but I'd argue that O'Brien (despite being a 6ft 6 centre back) is much better on the ball than Mykolenko and offers more in that respect from right back than Mykolenko does at left back and I don't disagree that we need a...

Paqueta mostly played from the left. Didn't play as a number 10 much. Kudus played all over the place - from the right when Bowen was up front, from the left when Paqueta didn't play, but also as a 10 at times. Soucek seemed, more often than not...

Moyes has rarely gone for playmakers as number 10s. Usually someone who puts in a shift defensively as well as being a 2nd striker - ideally good in the air and can arrive in the box late. See Cahill, Fellaini, Soucek etc Other than Soucek, the...

I think the exact opposite O'Brien did a pretty good job as a hybrid right back and, if Branthwaite stays, you'd assume him and Tarkowski will be the first choice CB pairing so most of O'Brien's playing time will still come as a right back...

I have never, in all my years watching football, seen a striker with worse movement. The problem was that the year before we signed him, he had a season where he just kept scoring absolute worldies from outside the box and there was never any way...

It's been said hundreds of times but any promising young player going to Utd wants their head checked. Can't believe they keep doing it. This was a really interesting one because it exposed so badly the gulf at the time between recruitment teams...

Yep - I would much rather pay a big transfer fee for someone and have them on reasonable wages than I would pay a "bargain" fee and have them on massive wages It's so, so difficult to shift a player who turns out to be crap if you're paying them...

Can't get my head around people wanting the likes of Mangala and Lindstrom back at all. There's a whole world of footballers out there, why are we obsessed with always going back for the same ones we've had before?

Coufal would only have made any semblance of sense if Coleman had left

Napoli paid around 30 million for him last summer . Why would they have sold him in January and how would we have paid for him?
