Beat Southampton and we’re guaranteed to finish above Spurs, and Utd would have to win both their remaining games with a 6 goal swing. West Ham would also have to win both their remaining games to overtake us. A good few million £ at stake.

Still doing a good job with a squad lacking in quality in many areas. You can bemoan the stroke of luck we got for the equaliser (bit odd if you do like), but this is what can happen if you get up the pitch and have strikes on goal. Fortunate, yes, but it comes about because we were looking to...

Match Thread Fulham 1-3 Everton – Saturday 10 May, 15:00

In isolation, a draw wouldn’t have been a bad result. To come from behind to win is very good, and we’ve given ourselves a good chance of hitting the heady heights of a 13th/14th place finish.

    2024/25 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Yeah I agree, DCl isn't the kind of player to create a goal scoring opportunity for himself. Ancelotti understood this, hence that one standout goal scoring season from him: we played to his strengths. None of the following managers had the players/ability/tactical nouse to replicate this. My...

I'm torn with DCl... If we want to progress we need a forward who we can rely on to regularly score goals. Since the start of the 21/22 season he's made 89 league appearances (<60% of the total number of league games in that time) and scored 17 goals... an average of a goal every 5 games or so...

    2024/25 Abdoulaye Doucoure

He's done a job for us over the last few years. We would certainly have been relegated without him, but having players of his quality (or lack of) are part of the reason why we've been at the wrong end of the table for so long. If we were to offer him a new contracts (I hope we don't) I'd...

    2024/25 James Tarkowski

A real shame... despite a few wobbles, he's one of our most consistent performers while he's been with us. I'm just glad it's happened now we're safe and not earlier in the season when we were desperate for points. It's an opportunity to see how Branthwaite and O'Brien get on in the middle...

    2024/25 Dwight McNeil

Agreed. This was the issue when he played under Dyche... he was our wide left midfielder, but with no overlapping full back or much in the way of movement up front (mostly because we had a single isolated centre forward) it was difficult for him to get himself into half a yard of space in...

    2024/25 Dwight McNeil

Despite missing the majority of the season, he's still our joint 3rd goalscorer and top assister for the season. I can see Moyes making use of him.

Deservedly won away from home against the side currently 3rd in the league. Wtf are you on about.

Oh yeah... new manager bounce is a fallacy and I don't like it either, for those of you stat-minded out there it's actually regression to the mean

I didn't realise our form had been that good in comparison to others... the recent run of draws has brought us back down to earth a bit after wins in quick succession. He's been here a third of the season as well, so it's a more than long enough time frame to suggest it's much more than 'new...

Will we beat last seasons ACTUAL points total

Low to mid 40s would be my guess. Beat Ipswich and Southampton and a few draws thrown in elsewhere. Not great at all, but I think most here would have snapped your hand off for that point tally not so long ago.
