As a squad filler and used (hopefully sparingly) in rotation I think he makes sense, and actually playing him on the left might see a more productive output. The potential wage is a bit of a worry with this deal though.
I think the best thing to do right now is declare him a world beater and place all hope for a glorious Everton revival on his shoulders whist demanding David Moyes plays him.
