I think part of our negoation stance would have been in my opinion - he will be the main man here and play the role he had at 10 at Villa mate. I dont think we are paying him 225k a week not to be our man at 10. (but interchangeable).

General rule is if you are bringing in a player who obviously will need to adapt to his role, then don't shift someone to a new role so you double the problem. Unless needed.
