I reckon it's much easier to be a back-up keeper than it is to be an outfield player who doesn't get games. They probably get to make more saves in 10 minutes of training than they will in most matches.
I can only speak for the Southport line, but I'm 100% certain every Sunday during the summer they run every 15 minutes. I can see Seaforth station from the street outside my house, and I was using them yesterday; every 15 minutes they were running.

I think the amount is irrelevant in some ways Tom. We'd all like a multi-national mega bucks deal, but I think what should be blatantly obvious is that we probably took the best offer there was. If that's 1 million a year, fine, if it's 10, fine.
