I was alive. Albeit 2 1/2. Everton and England winning trophies in the same year. Different times...it must have been great. Pity the locals never got to see the scheduled WC semi.

I was 5, came in from playing out and started watching with my dad, this team were loseing 2-0 felt sorry for them and wanted them to come back and win, plus this feller was on the pitch being chased by bobbies. I became en Evertonian.

….not forgetting we signed Alan Ball after that World Cup Final, what a time ;)

Best day of my life. Was only 10 and signed up there and then... with a bit of encouragement from my dad. AND I'm still here despite trying to check out over the years 💙
