You must have appeared much more youthful in your appearance! Would not be offended as most bars in America do check ID if you look remotely not too old.
A great spot, unfortunately closed. Turnmill NYC replaced Mr. Dennehys a couple of years ago. Same group of fine Evertoninans gathering there though from what I have been told!
Sorry if there already is a thread on here about this but thought it'd be a good idea for traveling Toffees to have a resource of where they go to watch Everton play in their current town or city.
Example - New York City, New York, USA: Turnmill NYC
Saw someone post this place on r/everton.
Honest question -- Can we really say we should be impressed with his Champions League performance - especially against Real Madrid - given how terrible Real Madrid has been overall? Everyone's so quick to judge and rate him as the midfielder we are missing based on that match alone.
*I would...
Over on r/soccer, a review of Fulham's season noted that with Mitrovic playing as the ST, there was hardly any forward pressure - which again makes him not the type of forward that can play successfully in Silva's system and someone that Brands would not go spend on.
Could be a longer term transfer play. Unless this guy's ready to play first-team football...which would be shocking and truly amazing find but hey that's what Brands was hired to do, right?
Another major problem with the Walsh era - individually the players he signed had performed well for their previous clubs but did they really fit whatever the manager was playing or needed? Seemed like Walsh, Koeman/Allardyce, Kenwright were operating on parallel planes.
On its best day, MLS is maybe up there with lower Championship quality - if I'm being generous. Probably more comparable to League One but better than say the Scottish league
