too many memorized crosses that does not reach its target and result in the counter attack of the opponent.. i also in general dont like his final decision making, its mostly poor. he is one of the players that needs to step up his level of contribution asap

He certainly does have his flaws, especially against quick and agile players.. but regardless of this, his presence for Everton team defence is HUGE, he is literally the backbone of this team while defending.

I unfortunately agree with you. lack of creativity while attacking is the risk when you rest one of your best players.. btw i also agree that if James is not fit to play, resting Calvert is way riskier. if he plays however, i highly recommend we rest him, so that we can get the best out of him...

I agree with you that a huge rotation is crazy at such a level.. even against Sheffield (its an away league game after all) BUT, for example Godfrey. this guy played every inch of the pitch and he is human. he played wing back, he played center defend, he did everything, he is barely rested...

He needs to shoot more, and his teammates needs to press more and cover James's presence better on the pitch. in order to get the best out of him, Everton needs to play in a way where James roams free, does not always join rest of the players during pressing/marking while off the ball...

Although i voted for James, Doucoure is also an incredible player, i loved watching him at Watford. he will provide that crucial box to box link between Allan and James. for me his role is the most crucial one for a truly successful midfield trio.
