There's a lot to be said for doing something that helps the spirit, rather than the mind or the physical. I live close to a hospital that deals with profoundly disabled children and adults. This has helped me to develop a deep gratitude for the...

It's a bit of a battle every day at the moment, but I think it helps get things off to a decent start.

I listened to this podcast while out running yesterday. It was interesting, honest , good mentions of Carlo , Big Dunc snd Seamus . Provides the human side to Dom but doesn’t really change my view that we need a goal scoring No 9 . Best of luck...

This is one of my favourite threads btw. A sanctuary from the madness of the summer transfer thread and rucking in the DCL and Beto threads. Just sensible discussion and nobody really taking extreme positions. Love it

Yeah I was leaning towards Davidson as well just based on the fact he seemed to be the preference as the starter (even over Eze). That’s assuming he old enough however, that tournament squad had a handful of u15 players in the mix as well.

Luke Forsyth is an u16 goalkeeper who featured on the bench for the u18, I don’t believe he got minutes but I’m assuming he’ll be a Scholar. Davidson was the other goalkeeper who went to that tournament Jose Baxter took the u16s too, I don’t know...

Basically they’ve given professional contracts to all Scholars coming to the end of their 2 year Scholar contracts who didn’t already have a contract. So no missings at this level. A lot of times in recent years we’ve guaranteed a pro contract to...

Yep , I honestly thought Campbell hadn’t shown enough to warrant another contract. Owen Barker was in the photos at the end of the final game , although fully clothed. I wondered if someone thought a bit more highly of him but obviously not. It...

As per @Eggs post mate. Best go into the Youth thread rather than off-topic this one.

….unless you’re watching 14 year old Rooney or Osman it really is a lot of guesswork. The thing I like about Graham is that outstanding attackers at that age often have a huge physical advantage over their peers in terms of strength, height...

Re the original question , I wouldn’t expect any of our youngsters to do an ” Armstrong” and emerge so positively as a first team prospect this pre -season . There are no regular u 21s looking like they’ll make what is a big leap up , our...
