Yeah, I know. It doesn't feel right adapting a game plan to a strikers mediocre skills - he's just looked at his best playing off those kind of balls. Maybe Ndiaye could work better up front. I can just see a scenario where we completely isolate him and he looks terrible too! Over to Moyes!

If Moyes wants Beto to score he needs to play to his main (or only) strength which is running in on through balls. I think this get it to Grealish and wait around for the perfect assist isn't going anywhere for Beto - he's hardly intricate in his skills. Maybe Grealish has to play a bit quicker...

Yep I was comparing completely different levels of player with Grealish. Just making a point that is the level of impact we need with a new player. There's just not many strikers around that can whallop them in consistently. And those that can go for £60m+ or are only interested in Europe qualified teams. There seems a real drop off in ability below elite strikers. There's not a great deal inbetween for your money. Hence having to buy...

What I dislike with this set up is introducing players like dibling into a weak side and he loses confidence, gets dragged down to a lower level. Want to see him playing with quality players around him. Minutes on pitch I suppose - hopefully can get into the game and create something.
