Is Bilyaletdinov a bit of a "match of the day player", then, or has he just been misused by Moyes? You spent a fair wedge on him so I would have thought if he had the ability Moyes would have used him more... or is that not how it works?

a 'match of the day player' is the perfect description of Bily. I always think other clubs must see him as an absolute world beater when they dont watch him week in week out, hopefully we get a bit of added dollar because of this

You definitely get more time in the centre than on the wing.

You definitely dont get more time in the centre than on the wing. The better centre mids just make it look like theyve got all the time in the world because their spacial awareness is unbelievable, Bily doesnt have that

I'm totally fed up with this Bily in the middle rubbish! Just making excuses!

He has the ball taken off him out wide and seems to struggle with the fast pace of the game, so would that be far worse in the middle? If he can't get space out wide where is he gonna get it? Is he a fast moving quick passer like David Silva? Does he work hard and get stuck in like Cahill? Yeah didn't think so.

Plus, we don't really play wingers, why are people saying he gets played as a winger? They're attacking midfielders who play mostly on the inside or are you some just ignorant to how we play football? His best assets are crossing and shooting, two things that can be utilised properly on each side of midfield can't they? He scored against UTD coming in from the right onto his left foot same with Pompy, so he's drifting behind the striker already no? What else would he offer behind the striker? We use channels to create space for our midfield as we don't use wingers (Coleman being the closest) so again, what makes people think he'd be amazing? Never seen him play a thru ball that worked!

Plus with Saha going into the channels (normally left side due to Coleman being more direct) this opens up space for Cahill to push foward and the midfield. Pienaar used to thrive with this, also with Baines creating a passing angle to come inside. So again, why the hell is it so hard for Bily? Why? Cos' he's not good enough for this league.

Spot on.

Let's just make throw away meaningless comments based on absolutely no fact or evidence. I reckon he needs a chance in goal, I reckon he'll be amazing in goal, give him a chance Moyes FFS!!!

I see... kind of like MGP for us then. Except everyone now knows MGP is crap.

Anyone who thinks Billy wouldn't be the best central attacking midfielder in the world is clearly a kopite and must be destroyed.

Moyes admits he needs two new wingers and a striker of they're to be competitive.

"It wasn't because QPR dominated the game and outplayed us, we had good chances to make better opportunities and didn't do so.

"Tim missed a good one and we were a bit unlucky with Baines' free-kick.

"But if anyone is surprised and disappointed they shouldn't be because we have been saying for a year or two we could do with an injection of wide players and centre-forwards.

"We have still got to see whether he can cope as a full-back in the Premier League but what we can say is that he can play as a winger if we need him," he said.(Commenting on Coleman upon signing him.)

Moyes seems to think we play with wingers.

Our wingers may not be very good at dribbling, passing or crossing but Moyes believes he's using them. I think your post is implying that they often cut inside due to the fullbacks overlapping, which is true, but that doesn't stop them from being wingers.

Does he say winger or wide player in the first quote? He says he needs a better wide play. Also I said Coleman is more of a winger yes. Although we don't use wingers, seriously do you watch the games or just search the net for quotes that back up people using convienent labels?

Just put it like this, basically you're saying when Osman was on the right and Pienaar was on the left we played with wingers? Please make more use of your eyes and maybe have a crack at playing and understanding soccerball
