I sometimes find it difficult that people treat their car better than their own bodies. We take our car for a yearly MOT, so why not the apparatus that keeps us alive day to day? Hope Fred is sound. For the guys :- A friend of mine has had skin cancer and quite bad ( he is a ginger) he told me last week that he had to go to the hospital for a biopsy as they had taken his blood and tested for prostrate cancer ,he then told me that his brothers had had it and that he had never asked the doctor to test him and he is 73 .
Now I try not to judge too harshly ,but he is stupid if that is a strong enough word .
I can not believe the stupidity when all it is is a blood test .
Rant over as we will have fred back soon.
DCL of the thread ??Morning everyone,
First game of the season last night and already injured!
Actually just a reoccurrence of an elbow injury that I thought had cleared up. A month ago it was my heel now my elbow perhaps my body is trying to tell me something.
Mrs J has been looking for her glasses for the last 24 hours and I've just found them in Rosie's basket mangled and chewed. Rosie is now in the doghouse , but that won't last for long.
Have a lovely day everyone.
Good evening folks. How is everybody especially you @larbert toffee. How's your Mum doing?
Not much to report today. Just made pasta and meatballs in a habanero chilli sauce. Spicy but lovely. Served with garlic bread.
Away to Liverpool on Saturday, looking forward to it.
Liking the log burner. Sounds great.Mowed the reclaimed bottom of the meadow earlier. Calves ache a bit now ffs. That damn age thing. Will do the rest (easy) tomorrow.
Getting me log burner installed next Friday, cannot wait. It will be absolutely brilliant come the winter, evenings in the snug that Nik and I loved allbeit with an open fire back then. Stu, the log bloke from the pub, dropped a ton of logs off the other day, so all ready to go.
Not gonna lie, will be glad when Monday is done, and some sort of normality pops back. I get the coverage, its probs the most historic thing that has happened in our lifetimes, and the pomp and parades are epic. But.

I agree. Looking forward to Tuesday as well but I'm fascinated by the historical significance of this event. My neighbour, the one whose partner did a runner, doesn’t have a telly so has asked can she come in and watch the funeral. Might get some beer in for afterwards.
My absence from next week's team has nothing to do with London Fashion Week and if anyone suggests it is my lawyers are watching lolDominic Calvert-Lewin of the thread ??
Really Ange ? I started out very sad about the whole thing now I'm nauseated by the non stop reporting of absolutely nothing - and don't get me onto the monumental cost that all of this nonsense is costing us tax payers.Liking the log burner. Sounds great.

My granny used to always remark that no one did pageantry like the British. That element of things has caught my attention when it’s on and it is impressive to be fair. Also the fact as well that it is a big historical event no matter your own political persuasion.Mowed the reclaimed bottom of the meadow earlier. Calves ache a bit now ffs. That damn age thing. Will do the rest (easy) tomorrow.
